Knox hosts successful Pedal for Protein One-Day Ride Raising Money for Food Pantries!

On Saturday September 29, 2018 Knox Presbyterian Church hosted a One-Day ride as part of "Pedal for Protein". Pedal for Protein, sponsored by Presbytery of the Redwoods, featured a 6-day and a 1-day ride to raise money for food pantries to purchase much needed high quality protein foods.

The one-day ride featured 6, 12, and 25 mile rides starting and ending at Knox Presbyterian Church. We also had a fun kids' bike rodeo to teach young riders basic bike safety. Riders gathered together after the ride for fellowship and a delicious taco bar lunch. We even got our bikes tuned up for free by a bike mechanic generously donating his time!

Many thanks to the ride director Patty Sanders, the dedicated team of Knox volunteers who took such care in planning the event. Thanks to all the riders and people who made donations! So far the one and six day rides have raised more than $37,000 this year.

It's not too late to make a difference. Visit to make a donation or mail a check to "Presbytery of the Redwoods" 1226A Salvador Avenue Napa, CA 94558. Mark "P4P - Knox" in the memo line.
