The Knox Presbyterian Church Toy and Food Drive, sponsored by the Knox deacons and spearheaded by Deacon Scott Swehla, had a terrific response in the community. We raised over $2000 and collected multiple boxes of toys and food. Teams of deacons went on a toy shopping spree on Sunday night and were able to pull together 300 toys for children of all ages. Toys have been distributed to fire affected families at Kenwood Elementary School and Dunbar Elementary School. Toys also went to the Living Room (women & children's day shelter), Santa Rosa Fire Department "Toys for Kids", Redwood Credit Union - Sonoma County Volunteer Center "Secret Santa", and several families affected by the fires. This Sunday, 150 toys will go to a special event for families of Coffey Park. All the food collected will go to the Redwood Empire Food Bank. The outpouring of love and generosity was tremendous. Thanks be to God.
