Knox "pedals" for protein to feed hungry.

Terry Swehla, a Knox elder (church board member) rode 10 miles today as part of a fundraising event to purchase protein for local food banks. This is the third year that the Presbytery of the Redwoods (the regional Presbyterian governing body) has taken to the roads to combat hunger. In 2014-2015, Pedal for Protein raised $49,000 to donate high-quality, much-needed protein to families through local food pantries, and will contribute again in 2016. This year's ride covers 268 miles over 5 days, including shorter one-day rides like Terry's. Terry is very grateful to Knox church members, family, and friends who donated personally to her ride and through Knox's monthly "Cents-a-bility" offering. Knox is very thankful for our riders!
