Knox Interim Pastor On the Job
Interim Pastor Emily Stockert started her one-year term in office on Aug. 1.
In addition to her pastoral duties of preaching and spiritual care for the Knox congregation, she is tasked with helping the congregation and its elders evaluate their history and mission, and create a plan for what the mission of Knox Presbyterian will be in the future.
She has a passion for serving God, a natural preaching style, and love for leading worship. Emily graduated with her Master’s in Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary in May 2016. During commencement, she received the seminary's highest academic honor, the “Alumni Fellowship Award.” She’s also an Ohio State Buckeye.
Emily lives in Santa Rosa with her husband and two young children. Many Knox members already know Pastor Emily from her time at Knox as a pastoral intern. Her husband Todd, son A.J. and daughter Avery can be found most every Sunday with Pastor Emily at Sunday worship service or in Suncay School.
Once upon a time, in her life before Knox, Emily appeared on screen in commercials, television, and films. For fun, she breaks boards as a Black Belt in TaeKwonDo.
