Sermon 11/25/2018

Scripture Passage: John 18:33-37 The King, Full of Grace and Truth Good morning! Today, we celebrate Christ the King Sunday and the reign of Christ! With all the fires in California and hurricanes on the East Coast, the violent episodes in our country, and the political climate in our country, do we suppose that it might helpful to have a spiritual king?! Yes, a king, who might be capable of bringing some grace, truth, and order back into all the chaos and destruction. Sermon 11/18/2018

Scripture Passage: 1 Samuel 2:1-10 God Faithfully Answers Our Prayers and Then Some Good morning! Again, I came across one of my favorite scriptures on the lectionary with Hannah’s Song! My dad was a veteran of World War II and my Uncle Warren, who is 90 years old, is a Korean War veteran, who just received a Quilt of Valor. So, with all that in mind, I have a story

I’m very happy to be here with you all as your Temporary Pastor! I look forward to getting to know each of you. Today, we are reflecting on the heart and soul, or one of the foundational scriptures of our Christian faith and actually, a foundational part of many religions. The two greatest commandments seem all that simple, but yet are all that hard! If we just stop and ponder a moment about how many people we know, who have truly practiced the love of God and neighbor the way Jesus commands, we will quickly realize that as, naturally self-centered human
